New England (Local) Food for Schools Informational Webinar (for Producers/Farmers)

Massachusetts schools are set to receive $3.5 million dollars to spend exclusively on local, unprocessed or lightly processed foods. This one-time USDA funding will be available to schools beginning in the spring of 2023 and schools will have 18 months to spend the funds. The funding is part of the USDA’s Local Food For Schools program.

This is a great opportunity for MA producers, whether you’ve sold to schools before or not. Watch the recording to learn about the program, how to connect with schools in your area, and other assistance available to producers who want to get involved.
