Team Member Details

Team Leaders: Please communicate with any potential team members prior to adding them to your application. Once you’ve confirmed their spot on the team, please send “Application Part II” to them to fill out prior to the application deadline. 

All Teams: Assemble an early education program, individual school, or school district-wide team. Early education and school based teams should have 4-6 members and school districts should have 5-7 members. Teams should be comprised of a diversity of individuals representing all aspects of the school, including, but not limited to: 

• School nutrition personnel — food service directors, school chefs, kitchen managers
• Classroom teachers
• School administrators or curriculum coordinators
• School nurses
• Parents, school board, or community members
• One district-level administrator *(for district-wide teams only)

For School District Teams: In your application, please identify one or two schools in your district in which you will focus efforts on implementing a Farm to School action plan that can serve as an example for other schools within the district. We have found this to be the most successful way to guide district teams through the planning process.

The MA FTS Institute is held in partnership with the Northeast Farm to School Collaborative, which has hosted the Northeast FTS Institute since 2015 with Vermont FEED. The FTS Institute model was developed and refined by Vermont FEED using evidence-based best practices in professional learning.
